Looking at the photos on the model, I assumed the top was going to be a baby-tee type shirt. Shorter than my normal shirts, and much tighter on me than the model (I am an XL, busty and thick, as opposed to what I assume is a Small) However the top I got was definitely a crop top. I almost thought there had been a sizing mistake when I pulled it out of the bag. But it was labeled properly and fit well elsewhere,the sleeves weren't too tight, though they are very short, and the neckband wasn't tight, like I would expect with a mis-labeled tee. This thing barely reached my midriff, and that was even before washing any any potential shrinkage.
Genuinely, I don't mind the crop top, it's great for summer pjs, but it would have been less jarring if that was listed at all on the product description. And the whole set together is super cute.
The shorts are great though, I wish I could give the separate pieces different star rankings. They're super soft, high-waisted enough to accommodate the teeny crop top, and pockets deep enough to hold my phone, which is always a plus. They're also made of a double layer of fabric, which completely blocked any potential color-show from underwear. So if I needed I wouldn't feel weird wearing them around the house or even for a late night run to the store for something. The fit of the shorts is great, loose enough to be comfortable, but still feeling true to size.
The shorts: 5 stars - no notes
The top: 3 stars - would be less disappointed if I knew to expect a crop top. I also found a small hole on the shirt when it was fresh from the bag, nothing major, likely just a manufacturing flaw in the fabric itself and it's barely noticeable. It didn't get worse when I washed the shirt or wore it, so I'm not concerned about it. Tags on the side are a bit itchy too, they're made of a rougher material and that itchy metallic thread, but it was easily fixed with scissors or a seam ripper.
